Service is a key component in our lives as Shambhala members and practitioners. Each of us can consider how we might be of benefit to Shambhala, to our community, and to all beings. Whether we offer our time, financial support, or special skills and expertise, we can all extend ourselves with generosity. Working together is also a wonderful way to get acquainted and bond with each other.

An Introduction to Shambhala Culture

Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteers make it possible for St. Petersburg Shambhala to flourish. Volunteering is an important aspect of membership required of all members, as well as an opportunity to practice mindfulness and manifest the principles of enlightened society.  Volunteering is also a way to express appreciation to our lineage and to those who have gone before us.

You don’t have to be a member to volunteer.  There are opportunities for newcomers as well as longtime students to get involved.

Outlined below are some of the ways you can participate in this work and simultaneously deepen your own connection and path.   You are invited to sign up for one or more jobs from the list below to volunteer your energy.  Everyone is enriched when you share what you have to offer.
