"The abhidharma deals with the five skandhas.  The skandas represent the constant structure of human psychology as well as its pattern of evolution and the pattern of evolution of the world. The skandhas are also related to blockages of different types - spiritual ones, material ones, emotional ones." Quote from Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche from the introduction to the book Glimpses of Abhidharma.

This course uses the book Glimpses of Abhidharma which is based upon a seminar given by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche in the early 1970's.  The abhidharma are basic Buddhist teachings important to explore on our path in Shambhala.  Participants will be responsible to read a short chapter before each class.  Each week there will be a talk summarizing the topic of the assigned chapter, followed by an interactive discussion.
